New York Inspired - Designing the Graduate of Tomorrow

Steve Karandy is the Director of Data and Technology for the East Greenbush Central School District and an experienced educator, school administrator, and instructional technology leader. He has served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and district instructional technology administrator. Steve supports schools in building practical systems for AI literacy, responsible technology use, professional learning, data-informed decision-making, and instructional innovation. He is a contributing author to Dan Fitzpatrick’s *The Educators’ AI Guide 2026*, writes the *Brewing Innovation* Substack, and frequently presents on AI leadership and educational technology. Steve has presented for the New York State School Boards Association, was featured in its *On Board* publication, and has contributed to *Vanguard*, the professional journal of the School Administrators Association of New York State.
