About me
Tim Dawkins serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at the South Glens Falls Central School District, where he leads districtwide efforts to cultivate a future-ready, inclusive learning environment from pre-K through grade 12. With more than 20 years of experience as a principal, assistant principal, and counselor, Tim brings a systems-level perspective to aligning leadership, instruction, and culture around shared values and graduate outcomes. He has spearheaded the district’s Portrait of a Bulldog initiative, guiding educators to integrate its core competencies of adaptability, empathy, innovation, and collaboration into daily instruction. Tim also leads the district’s work on artificial intelligence in education, collaborating with stakeholder groups to establish an ethical, responsible, and consistent framework for AI adoption and policy development. A published writer and thought leader, Tim has contributed to Education Week, AASA’s School Administrator Magazine, and Vanguard, the SAANYS journal. He also authors Beyond Our Walls, a newsletter that explores education, leadership, and wellbeing through the lens of vulnerability, empathy, and growth.
